Mirra develops digital content protection products for home and small business markets. The Mirra Personal Server is a backup server designed for people who need a simple and affordable way to protect, remotely access, and share their important digital files.
Mirra enjoyed great success with their Personal Server, but many customers required support for Macintosh computers as well. They also recognized that the market for backup required solutions that were multi-platform. Mirra needed to devote a fairly large team of experts that could be effective immediately, and at the same time be very cost effective. Lacking expertise in Macintosh product development, Mirra also needed help in designing the product to create a great user experience.
Waverley architects and engineers designed a complete product solution from scratch that took the best of the current Mirra Windows Client product, and went much further. A new architecture, user interface, and features provided better performance, functionality, quality, and user experience for Macintosh users. The Waverley team operated as a complete development and quality group within the existing Mirra engineering group. Our seamless team extension is now an important part of future engineering efforts at Mirra.
“Mirra turned to Waverley Software to fill in gaps in our development team and delivered a platform specific version of our software. Although the Waverley team is remote, they worked seamlessly with our local team. They have proven themselves to be adept, resourceful, and best of all, schedules were met.”
